8-7-24    THOUGHTS

We all need help!  Where does our help come from?  That question is answered for us in our readings today.  I have chained three passage areas together.  Rom 8:31-39 is powerful also!   See it below:   The Lord will GUARD, Don’t let your Heart be Troubled, we are BORN again to a LIVING HOPE!  Jesus gives us HIS PEACE!  

Ps 121:1-8   I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come?  2  My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. 3  He will not allow your foot to slip; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4  Behold, He who keeps Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep.  5  The LORD is your keeper; The LORD is your shade on your right hand. 6  The sun will not smite you by day, Nor the moon by night. 7  The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. 8  The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in  From this time forth and forever.
John 14:27   "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
1Pet 1:3-5   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4  to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5  who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

My Prayer:
Thank you, O God, for the blessings of the promises in the words above.  Help us to comprehend the fulness of the word peace in our readings.  Help us to understand Your might and power as You guard us for eternity without slumber.  Help us, O God, that we would not slumber as we live for You and the cause of Christ in His Church.  In our Savior’s name,   Amen.
